celebrating 40 years of

Back to the future

"Joseph Maudsley is a master of subtle and effective humour"

The iconic villain of “Back to the Future” takes centre stage in this comedic reimagination of Marty’s time-travelling escapades, turning the celebrated cinematic trilogy on its head from the perspective of Biff, the bully audiences love to hate.

This new, heartfelt and unauthorised parody explores the highs and lows of a life chasing power, fame and fortune, reliving Biff’s encounters with Marty and Doc across the centuries.

For superfans and newcomers alike, as we go back 40 years to when the trilogy began!

Joseph Maudsley

Writer and Performer

Joseph Maudsley is an acclaimed writer and performer who’s been delighting audiences around the world. After a sellout season at the Edinburgh Fringe, he’s now touring the UK, Ireland and Australia with his award-winning show Biff To The Future.

Before time-travel took over his life, Joseph toured the UK in the one-man hit Friend (The One With Gunther), enjoying sold-out Edinburgh Fringe runs, five-star reviews and an Offie nomination. Proof that years of watching sitcoms really can pay off.

Joseph has spent more than a decade performing Potted Potter, travelling everywhere from Australia to Canada, via the UAE and the Philippines to New Zealand and the USA, with extended seasons in Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco and Las Vegas, where the show picked up “Best New Show” in the Best of Las Vegas Awards.

Other adventures include performing with The Reduced Shakespeare Company in William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play (Abridged) and multiple tours with Oddsocks Theatre Productions. He also popped up on TV in 'Grantchester' (ITV), proving he can act without a wand, a wig or shouting “Pivot”.
